A Director, reporting to the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Computing, manages the CEEC. The Director oversees a small permanent staff of a Programme Manager, a Centre Administrator, an administrative support, a laboratory technician and a reprographic clerk. He/She reports monthly to the Senior Staff Faculty Meeting which includes the Head of the School of Engineering (SOE), the Head of the School of Computing and Information Technology (SCIT) and the Dean to discuss facilities and human resource issues which impact the respective schools. He/She also reports monthly to the Faculty Research Committee on the financial aspects of research projects being administered through the CEEC. By reason of the CEEC being a profit centre he/she also reports at the Planning and Development Committee. The Director also answers monthly at an executive committee comprising the internal members of the Board of Management.

A Board of Management provides for the management and control of the CEEC and in determining the strategic direction of the Centre within the university’s strategic plan. Its membership consists of representatives of the public and private sector who have commitment, experience and competence in relevant academic, professional and business arenas. The function of the Management Board will be to monitor the key success factors; to facilitate co-ordination among the areas deemed to be important to the Centre; and to recommend to Council and the Academic Board the administrative and financial management policies and procedures in keeping with the Statutes, Ordinances, Regulations, Policies and Procedures of the university.
