UICEE
The CEEC will also be a focal point for
continuing engineering education through joint projects with the UICEE. An
engineering Education Unit (EEU) will be established whose principal
objective will be to foster technological advancements in Jamaica and the
Caribbean by improving the standards of engineering education with the
assistance of institutions in developed countries. The UICEE will provide
networking opportunities for the EEU to:

Establish joint
programmes.
·
Collaborate with
other member institutions in research on engineering courseware, software,
teaching methodologies and equipment.
·
Facilitate the
exchange of staff and students between partner institutions.
The UICEE will also provide funds to
organize courses, meetings, symposia and conferences on engineering
education and lend its support to any EEU proposals for funding in
Engineering Education Research from international funding agencies.
