Headley-Smith Rose Marie, Mrs

Headley-Smith currently facilitates Hospitality and Tourism related modules in Customer Service Management, Spa Development and Management and Food Service Systems Management. A trained teacher and Tourism specialist, she takes pride in exposing her students to the theoretical and practical sides of tourism and hospitality, through research guidance, classroom sessions, field trips and case studies.

A proud member of the Jamaica Customer Service Association, she also provides ongoing training and consultancy services in Customer Service Management particularly to small and medium-sized enterprises.

This multi-faceted educator has done significant research in spa development and worked collaboratively with the Bureau of Standards Jamaica and other tourism affiliates in creating the 2012 Spa Standards for Jamaica. Having Chaired the Spa Standard Committee, she facilitated the review of said document in 2016 and 2020.

In the School of Hospitality and Tourism Management, she is the Student / Faculty Exchange Coordinator, Research and Publication Coordinator and Faculty Advisor for the Tourism Action Club.
