Williams-Myers Claudette, Dr

Dr Claudette Williams-Myers is an Associate Professor in the College of Business and Management.  She has served her alma mater in various administrative and academic capacities during her tenure of over 25 years as programme director, acting Dean, Associate Dean and Chair of Quality Assurance and other Committees.

Dr. Williams-Myers has taught workforce education and development, foundations of work education, administrative management, records management, research methodologies and other courses at the graduate and undergraduate levels.  She has supervised many graduate and undergraduate research projects, some of which students have presented at conferences.  Dr. Williams-Myers has always used a student-centred approach to learning and teaching, placing her students at the centre of her deliveries.  This approach has led her to develop initiatives for students, especially those “at risk.” Her research in student-centred learning, employees with disabilities and at-risk students are indicative of her deep interest in her adult learners.

She has been a member of the Institutional Accreditation team for the University and in recent years, has chosen to work directly with students in the area of student advising.  She chairs the Student Advisement Committee in the College and serves as Advisor to many students.
