Future Ready International Conference: Strengthening STEM for Tomorrow’s Leaders

21stCentEd, a Jamaican-led Comprehensive STEM™ education systems company based in the United States, in partnership with University of Technology, Jamaica (UTech, Ja.), will host the Future Ready International Conference 2024 April 23 to April 26, 2024, at the University’s Papine, St. Andrew Campus.

The Future Ready Conference 2024 is a transformational experience and pioneering force in thought leader empowerment. The conference is specially crafted for champions of students and educators to learn best practices, to dream bigger and dream forward, to tap into their passions, and strengthen communal accountability for the growth and preservation of humankind through innovation in education. The conference is poised to reshape education, preparing both students and educators for a world defined by AI, automation, and robotics.

The four-day conference features an expert cadre of industry-leading speakers who will engage local and overseas participants on tools and new knowledge aimed at providing students and educators with project-based learning activities to promote Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics, and to develop 21st-century skills in optimizing a comprehensive STEM environment. 

Prime Minister, The Most Honourable Andrew Holness will address the Opening Ceremony to be held on Wednesday April 24, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. at the Alfred Sangster Auditorium, University of Technology, Jamaica Papine Campus.  Headlining the conference on April 24, 2024 is Dr. Christopher Emdin, a renowned educator, author, and visionary from Columbia University, New York while Dr. Kasan Troupe, Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Education and Youth will be the Keynote Speaker on Apil 25, 2024.

The 2024 Future Ready conference will incorporate school tours, a STEMxpo™,   engaging breakout sessions and a cultural and entertainment package to include a welcome party to Jamaica featuring Stone Love Sound, special performance by world renown artiste Beenie Man, and a restorative beach day to continue building community across borders. Each day of the conference will conclude with an immersive evening of Jamaican cuisine, arts, and entertainment hosted at the UTech, Jamaica Papine campus.
