to Elaine Thompson on dominating the 60m field in a world leading time and personal best of
6.98 seconds at the Birmingham Indoor Grand Prix held at the Barclaycard Arena on February
18, 2017. Thompson’s achievement was also the first time since 2014 that a woman has
dipped below the seven seconds-barrier and it was
the seventh fastest time in history.
