UTech, Jamaica Opens Exhibition on the Life and Times of Edward Seaga

The University of Technology, Jamaica has mounted an exhibition on the life and times of the late Most Honourable Edward Seaga, ON, PC, former Prime Minister and Chancellor of the University. 

The exhibition is mounted at the Drawing Room at the University’s Papine Campus – an historical building recently declared a national monument by the Jamaica National Heritage Trust (JNHT). 

The exhibition features works from Mr. Seaga’s extensive writings and publications and his distinguished legacy as a master anthropologist, politician and academician.  It also showcases moments from his time as Chancellor of the University. 

Mr Seaga served as Chancellor of University of Technology, Jamaica from 2010 to the time of his passing on May 28, 2019.   

University President, Professor Stephen Vasciannie notes that “our distinguished Chancellor was a major source of inspiration and a guide to the leadership of the University,” adding that, “he was instrumental in annual meetings of the University and lent his wealth of experience and expertise to all aspects of the University’s work.”

The exhibition on the life and times of Mr. Seaga will run until June 28, 2019 from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm daily. It is free and open to the public for viewing.
