SCHOOL OF PHARMACY
FULL TIME LECTURER
- Clinical Pharmacokinetics (2 posts) – BSc & Post Diploma
- Epidemiology (1 post)
- Pharmacologist (2 posts)

CARIBBEAN SCHOOL OF NURSING
WESTERN CAMPUS – MONTEGO BAY
- Full Time Lecturer - Midwifery (3 posts)
ACADEMIC REQUIREMENTS:
The successful candidates should ideally possess a PhD in the specific field or at least a Master's Degree/Professional Qualification in the relevant discipline.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
The successful candidate will need to demonstrate a clear commitment to teaching as well as research, and show evidence of successful educational/training practice. The candidate will offer teaching through a variety of means including lectures, practicals, small group tutorials, problem-based learning, and 'e-learning' initiatives, and will be expected to innovate in each of these areas. A minimum of three (3) years industry experience would be an advantage.
Additionally, the candidate should:
- have a minimum of five (5) years’ experience in teaching and curriculum development at the undergraduate/postgraduate levels in a tertiary institution
- be engaged in relevant research and community service
- be a member of a professional organization and have an interest in developing services to industry and the public at large
SCHOOL OF PHARMACY
PAPINE CAMPUS
- Clinic Duty Coordinator
Clinic Duty is application of theoretical and practical knowledge and skills gained from the Clinical Pharmacy and Therapeutic Modules that train pharmacy students in the principle of pharmaceutical care.
The Clinic Duty Coordinator will be required to assist lecturers in the training of pharmacy students in order to gain first-hand experience with patients, their disease state/condition, medication and disease management progression. The incumbent will be also be required to schedule students and lecturers for Clinic Duty sessions as well as to evaluate the Clinic Duty activities throughout the specified time of the semester.
Requirements:
The preferred applicant should possess:
- A Bachelor of Pharmacy degree from an accredited institution;
- Registered Pharmacist with the Pharmacy Council of Jamaica;
- Knowledge of subject matter, appropriate course content, current trends and methodologies in education and pharmacy;
- Knowledge of computer based technology, pharmacy regulations and legal issues for practice and education, drug control issues and procedures;
- Strong organization, communication and interpersonal skills;
- Ability to represent the Pharmacy Programme; and
- At least two (2) years’ experience in Pharmacy
CARIBBEAN SCHOOL OF NURSING
WESTERN CAMPUS – MONTEGO BAY
- Preceptors (8 posts)
Requirements:
The preferred applicant should possess:
- A Bachelor of Nursing degree from an accredited institution or equivalent experience
- Registered Nurse or Registered Midwife or Registered Nurse Midwife
- Current License with the Nursing Council of Jamaica;
- Knowledge of Nursing procedures; NANDA applications
- Training/Certification in Preceptorship would be an asset
