Overview

Nestled in the city of Montego Bay the University of Technology, Jamaica Western Campus is the University’s only multidisciplinary campus outside of the main campus in Papine, St. Andrew. The commuter campus despite being relatively small, packs a heavy punch as it forms part of the University’s strategy to expand access to high quality tertiary level education to students across the western region who for a variety of reasons opt to study close to where they live, work and operate businesses.

The University’s commitment to the people across the region since the emergence of a campus in 2007 involves more than expanded access to some of the most competitive courses, but also the transformation of individuals and communities through various projects and initiatives. These projects and initiatives support socio-economic development within communities and Jamaica’s transition to a digital economy and increasing dominance in our progression towards Industry 5.0.
