University of Technology, Jamaica 90 The Advancement Division plays a crucial role in driving the University’s Mission and Vision for institutional development and advancement in all areas of its operations. Despite fiscal constraints, the Division continues to provide timely and effective communication updates to increase awareness of University developments, strengthening of community and customer relations as well as fostering harmonious relations with stakeholders to stimulate interest and to engage support for the University through resource mobilization and activities by various offices or groups. The Advancement Division coordinated and supported a number of University-wide events and initiatives to promote institutional strengthening. These included official visits to the campus by local and international bodies/institutions and signing of a number of Memoranda of Understanding and collaborative arrangements with local and international organizations. Exhibition on the Most Hon. Edward Seaga, ON, PC The Advancement Division, led by the Centre for the Arts, coordinated the organization and mounting of an exhibition of art, memorabilia and photographs to commemorate the life of the Most Honourable Edward Seaga, ON, PC, Hon. LLD, late UTech, Jamaica Chancellor and former Prime Minister of Jamaica, who died on May, 28, 2019.
