Update on University-wide Management Information Systems The University’s Integrated Student Administration System (ISAS) test environment was upgraded to version 9.8.0. This was necessary to address the disparity in the previous version which was not in sync with that of the vendor. However, continued efforts are still being made to bring the current version up to date with that of the vendors to deliver expectation and the outstanding requirements of the Stakeholders. The lack of integration between the HR and Payroll systems had created major gaps in their respective operations, principles and practices that were causing a negative impact on the university. To resolve this matter, the HR/Payroll systems were integrated using the ABCi solution from TRB Technologies Limited. Several payrolls have since then been successfully processed while the system is being implemented in incremental phases. In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, in March 2020, the NOSS Unit aided the University’s COVID19 Risk Mitigation Committee in sourcing, procuring and configuring 125 laptops that were equipped with sufficient access Unified Communications and SoftPhones, Contact Centre capabilities, etc.) Wi-Fi and communication software to enable several key staff to work from home.
