The Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Apparel Design, Production, and Management is a comprehensive four-year full-time programme designed to prepare students for thriving careers in the dynamic fashion and apparel industry. This programme equips graduates with a strong foundation in fashion design, textile management, and apparel production, fostering both creativity and technical expertise. With a focus on sustainability, innovation, and industry-relevant skills, students are empowered to shape the future of fashion while addressing global challenges in apparel design and production.

Course Details

The BA in Apparel Design, Production, and Management offers an integrated curriculum that combines artistic creativity with practical industry knowledge. Students will gain hands-on experience in designing, producing, and managing apparel, as well as insights into sustainable practices and emerging trends.

Programme Objectives: 

  • Develop proficiency in advanced garment construction and apparel production techniques. 
  • Cultivate a deep understanding of textile testing and sustainable practices in the fashion industry. 
  • Train students to manage apparel production processes, from concept to final product. 
  • Prepare graduates for leadership roles in fashion design, production, and management. 

Modules include: 

  • Designing in the Fashion Industry: Emphasizes creativity, design principles, and trend forecasting. 
  • Textile Testing and Sustainability: Focuses on fabric quality and sustainable textile practices. 
  • Accessories and Sewn Products: Covers the design and production of fashion accessories and sewn items. 
  • Advanced Garment Construction: Provides hands-on training in complex garment assembly techniques. 
  • Apparel Production Management: Explores the business and operational aspects of apparel manufacturing.

Entry Requirements

  • 5 CSEC/GCE O-Level passes in English Language, Mathematics and 3 other approved subjects
  • Associate Degree/Certificate in Fashion Designing
  • Diploma in Garment Construction; Operators of Apparel Businesses
  •  An interview is required.
