The College of Business and Management (COBAM), formerly the Faculty of Business and Management was established in the academic year 2010/11. The College comprises of the School of Business Administration, the School of Hospitality and Tourism Management, the Joan Duncan School of Entrepreneurship, Ethics and Leadership and the School of Advanced Management.

Welcome

Undergraduate and graduate students of the College are attracted to its reputation of superior instruction and the positive reviews received from employers and alumni. Many of our graduates have assumed leadership positions in the financial, hotel, restaurant, and tourism service areas; in management consulting, in the education sector, as well as in industry. Others have gone on to become successful entrepreneurs in the commercial, manufacturing and information technology sectors.

The vision of the Faculty of Engineering & Computing is to be the preferred partner in providing education and training for engineering and computing scholarship in Jamaica and the Caribbean.

Dean's Message

Welcome to our new and returning students to the College of Business and Management (COBAM) at the University of Technology, Jamaica.

 

It is a privilege to represent the faculty and staff members that serve our campuses and community through teaching, research and service. Our mission is to deliver undergraduate, graduate and professional programmes in Business and Management that advance knowledge and creative works, through cutting-edge teaching strategies, experiential learning, applied research, innovation, entrepreneurship and community service, to promote the development of Jamaica and the wider the Caribbean region.

 

To realize our mission the College offers curricula in a student-centred nurturing environment while encouraging you to engage in self-directed learning through our supportive and experienced administrators, faculty and advisors to guide you in achieving your educational goals. There are also numerous opportunities for you to improve your leadership and developmental skills, through the various clubs, societies and other activities on the various campuses and within the community.
