The Post Baccalaureate Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) course of study focuses primarily on the therapeutic management of conditions associated with human biological systems. These include but are not limited to Digestive, Circulatory, Cardiovascular, Renal, Respiratory, and Endocrine Systems. As a post-baccalaureate degree, the advanced content of the UTech Pharm.D course of study complements practice experience and fosters a higher level of competence and autonomy. Students undergo extensive clinical training that will enable graduates to develop advanced analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to translate theoretical knowledge into clinical applications. The PharmD graduates are well-prepared for leadership positions, making significant contributions to improving patient outcomes and advancing clinical pharmacy and pharmacy education.

Course Details

The normal duration and path to completion of the Post Baccalaureate Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) is three calendar years (9 semesters). The delivery is blended. All didactic modules are taught via UTechOnline Moodle and through Zoom Education. The Clinical experiential learning (face-to-face) is completed in the last 5 weeks of study.

The Post Baccalaureate Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) curriculum includes 27 modules and a Major Research Project. Three modules are pursued each semester for the 9 semesters. The mode of delivery offers students the opportunity to apply the theoretical knowledge necessary to excel as a valuable member of the pharmaceutical industry.

Entry Requirements

  1. Applicants should have a Bachelor in Pharmacy (BPharm) with minimum GPA of 2.7 or equivalent from an accredited institution.  For applicants who do not meet the matriculation requirements, Other professional certification may be considered on a case-by-case basis including the Prior Learning Assessment route (the development of a portfolio for evaluation of entry is required).
  2. Special Entry
    Bachelor of Pharmacy graduate with a GPA of 3.0 or higher

Applicants should have at least one year experience as a practicing Pharmacist and Clinical experience from a recognized institution (Except for #2)
