Program StructureÂ
The BScN program is structured as a four-year, full-time course of study. It comprises 42 modules, totaling 132 credits, spread over eight semesters and four summer terms. The credit distribution is as follows:Â
- Year 1: 42 creditsÂ
- Year 2: 33 creditsÂ
- Year 3: 37 creditsÂ
- Year 4: 20 creditsÂ
The program is divided into two main areas:Â
- Instructive Sessions: These include classroom and skills lab instruction covering theoretical content and clinical skills introduction.Â
- Clinical Experience: Students engage in clinical rotations across various healthcare settings, including hospitals, clinics, and community health organizations. This practical experience allows students to apply theoretical knowledge in real-world situations and develop critical clinical skills.Â

The curriculum is divided into two primary components:Â
- General Education Courses: These foundational courses cover a range of subjects and help develop critical thinking, communication, and analytical skills.Â
- Nursing-Specific Courses: These modules focus on the specialized knowledge and skills required for effective nursing practice.Â
Licensing PreparationÂ
The BScN program is designed to prepare students for the Regional Examination for Nurse Registration (RENR). Passing this exam is necessary for obtaining licensure to practice as a registered nurse (RN) in the Caribbean.Â

Entry Requirements
- 5 CSEC/GCE- O level passes. Compulsory subjects are English Language, Mathematics, Biology and Physics or Chemistry. These compulsory subjects must be passed at 1or 2 (CSEC)/ A or B (GCE).  One other approved subject must be passed at 1-3 (CSEC) or A-C (GCE).
- Acceptance is subject to a successful pre-entrance test and an interview.
