Course Details

The MSc Engineering programme is designed to provide advanced training in engineering disciplines while offering the flexibility to specialize in areas relevant to industry needs. Specializations include: 

  • Engineering Management: Focuses on managerial skills for technical teams. 
  • Distributed & Renewable Energy Engineering: Emphasizes sustainable energy solutions. 
  • Environmental & Natural Resource Engineering: Addresses environmental challenges and resource optimization. 
  • Supply Chain & Logistics Engineering: Develops skills for efficient logistics systems. 
  • Telecommunications Engineering: Focuses on communication technologies. 
  • Chemical & Thermal-Fluid Processes Engineering: Advances expertise in fluid mechanics and chemical processes. 
  • Sustainable Infrastructure & Development Engineering: Specializes in sustainable construction and urban planning. 
Programme objectives: 
  1. To provide a graduate-level curriculum blending theory and practical applications. 
  2. To enhance managerial and technical expertise for professional engineers.

Mode of Delivery

The MSc Engineering programme is delivered on a part-time basis over 24 months. A blended learning approach is employed to accommodate the schedules of working professionals. 

Class Schedule 
  • Mondays & Wednesdays: 6:00 PM – 9:00 PM 
  • Tuesdays & Thursdays: 6:00 PM – 9:00 PM 
  • Fridays & Saturdays: 6:00 PM – 9:00 PM

Assessment Structure: Modules are typically delivered over five weeks, with final examinations or projects conducted in the sixth week.

Entry Requirements

  • A BSc or BEng degree in Engineering or other related discipline scoring a minimum GPA of 2.7 from UTech, Jamaica or other approved institutions.
  • A minimum of two (2) years working experience is preferred.
