Course Details
The MSc ISM programme offers a comprehensive and dynamic curriculum that addresses the growing demand for skilled professionals in information systems management. Key features include:
Core Modules: Students begin with six foundational modules, including Strategic Information Systems, Financial Analysis & Management, and Emerging Technologies.
Specialization Tracks: Participants select one of five specialization areas:
- IT Project Management: Master techniques for managing IT projects.
- Enterprise Security: Focus on managing cybersecurity risks and securing enterprise networks.
- Database Management: Learn to design and manage advanced database systems.
- Software Engineering: Develop skills to manage and create software solutions.
- Technology Management: Prepare to manage, plan, and control technical and organizational resources.
The objectives of the programme are to:
- Develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Equip students with specialized knowledge in information systems.
- Enable graduates to leverage emerging trends and technologies to address organizational challenges.
The MSc ISM programme requires the successful completion of 38 credits, distributed as follows:Â

The MSc ISM programme is delivered on a part-time basis over 24 months, using a blended learning approach to accommodate working professionals.Â
- Class Schedule: Classes are held one module at a time over five weeks, followed by an exam in the sixth week. Sessions are generally scheduled on Saturdays from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM.Â
- Assessment: Assessments may include written exams, projects, and presentations, depending on the module requirements.Â

Entry Requirements
- Bachelors Degree in IT/IS/Computer Science or other related disciplines with second class Honours or 2.70 GPA from UTech, Ja or other approved institutions and two (2) years working experience.
