The University of Technology, Jamaica (UTech Ja) male basketball team finished runners-up for the second consecutive year in the 2024 Division 1 Intercollegiate Basketball Competition. Excelsior Community College (EXED), who defeated UTech Ja in last season’s final, came out on top 75-57, crowning them as two-time Intercol Division 1 champions. Despite not being victorious, UTech Ja’s consistency in this competition must be praised, as the 2022 champions have climbed to the summit for the third straight year, with the trophy slipping out of its grasp at the final ascent.
