VOICES Bi-Monthly Magazine of the University of Technology, Jamaica | October - December 2018 30 T he mural depicts photographs of iconic features of the physical infrastructure of the University of Technology, Jamaica over the years. Among the sites highlighted on the mural are the two national monuments on the Campus - The Ruins of the Silos and Lillian’s Restaurant; the School of Public Health and Health Technology (formerly British West Indies Public Health Training Station and West Indies School of Public Health) established in 1943 and the recently built SHTM Hotel. 60 th Anniversary Mural Unveiled On December 14, 2018 UTech, Jamaica unveiled a new mural in the lobby area of the Administration Building, Papine Campus. The mural was unveiled by (l-r) Mr Christopher Murphy, conceptualizer, Professor Stephen Vasciannie, CD, President, Miss Tia Ferguson, President, UTech, Jamaica Students’ Union, Mr David Drysdale, University Librarian and Mr Ivor Bennett, Director, Marketing, UTech, Jamaica. Members of staff admire the newly unveiled mural.
