The scholarship was presented at a ceremony on October 28, 2022, at the Papine Campus. The scholarship, which is supported by the Heholt family in association with the Rita Marley Foundation, is valued at $20,000 USD and honours businesswoman and trailblazer Mrs. Merline Heholt. The four-year scholarship is awarded to a female student pursuing a career in business at UTech, Jamaica, and covers cost of tuition, books and boarding accommodations.
