STUDENT DEMOGRAPHICS ACADEMIC YEAR 2019/2020 University of Technology, Jamaica 45 Figure 14: Total # of International Students 2015/16-2019/20 Figure 15: Total # of International Students by College/Faculty For the past 5 years, the Republic of Trinidad & Tobago had the largest contingent of international students; however, for the 2019/20 academic year, the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago shared the largest representation of students with St. Kitts & Nevis. Both countries had 16 registered students. Figure 14: Total # of International Students 2015/16-2019/20 Figure 14 provides a breakdown of the total number of registered international students by gender over the five-year period - 2015/16-2019/20. For academic years 2015/16 – 2017/18 males have consistently outnumbered females; however, females outnumbered males in academic years 2018/19 and 2019/20. Figure 15: Total # of International Students by College/Faculty Figure 15 shows the percentage of international students by college/faculty. For AY 2019/20, the Faculty of The Built Environment had the highest number of international students (33%), followed by the College of Health Science with 31%.
