P r o f e s s i o n a l and continuing studies are also offered through partnerships with colleges and faculties across the university. The Western Campus comprises the Head Office - located in Falmouth, Trelawny; Dome - located at 17 Dome Street, Montego Bay, St. James; the Barnett Clinic - located at 2 Cottage Close, Montego Bay, St. James. Since its inception, the Western Campus deliberately set out to create a culture of community engagement, actively canvassing students in face-to-face , door- to-door campaigns. Throughout the year in review the Western Campus continued to actively engage stakeholders across various communities and sectors within the Western Region. Efforts to maintain and forge new worthwhile linkages included: Jamaica Tertiary Commission & Tourism Product Development Company In July 2015 a stakeholders meeting was held with Mrs. Maxine Henry-Wilson, Commissioner and Chief Executive Officer of the Tertiary Education Commission and Mr. Dennis Hickey, Executive Director of the Tourism Product Development Company (TPDCo). The team explored possible synergies between tertiary institutions and programmes and plans involving the TPDCo. JAMPRO & Montego Bay Freeport Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) Stakeholders (Spectraforce) In August 2015 meetings were held with JAMPRO and operators within the BPO sector, in an effort to position the campus as a primary player in assessing and satisfying the needs of the Information Communication Technology/Business Process Outsourcing sector. ICT/BPO is a key growth sector and among the fastest provider of jobs within the local economy. A site visit to showcase the staffing and facilities of the Western Campus was included on the itinerary of the BPO investors. SCIT Partnership In December 2015 an open house was held to explore the addition of the Master of Science in Information Systems Management to UTech, Jamaica’s programme in the West.
