The faculty actively participated in the many marketing-related activities initiated by the university and members of the marketing committee. Faculty Awards The 2016 Faculty Awards Ceremony was held on March 17, 2016. Guest speaker was Mr Karl Bennett, Managing Director of the Housing Association of Jamaica. Awards were made to former dean Dr Carol Archer, Architect and patron of the CSA Mr Stephen Facey, past lecturers Mr Valentine McCook and Mr Barrington Herbert. Over 60 students also received awards for outstanding work in academics, sports and other areas. Mr Clarke of Spatial Innovision presents 3D LASER Scanner to Dean Young. Students look at exhibits at 2016 GIS Day. Dr Garfield Young was the keynote speaker at the 2016 GIS Day event and the faculty mounted an exhibition that featured the Surveying, Geographic Information Sciences and Urban Planning aspects of course offerings.
