29 August 2018 | VOICES Bi-Monthly Magazine of the University of Technology, Jamaica T he Faculty of Law hosted its inaugural Decorate Your Door Competition on May 22, 2018 among members of staff. The competition was in celebration of the Labour Day holiday on May 23. Each full-time member of staff was assigned a door on the Faculty’s premises to be decorated to reflect the Labour Day theme. Entrants in the competition were assessed on creativity, originality, craftsmanship, appearance, clarity, interpretation of the theme, and on their oral presentation of the door. The panel of judges comprised Professor Stephen Vasciannie, President, Mr Philip Clarke, Director, Centre for the Arts and Miss Alicia Williams, Lecturer, Faculty of Education and Liberal Studies. Members of staff who participated and the winners of the competition were: Grand Prize winner - Elaine Codner for the Best Door; Najah Nash for Most Creative Door; Karen Rhule for Best Oral Presentation.
