Minimum requirement GPA of 2.7, or lower second class honours degree or its
equivalent. Must be a Registered Nurse with at least five (5) years working
experience.
Midwifery qualification is optional. Registered Nurses without midwifery
qualification will be required to complete twelve (12) weeks rotation in maternity
units prior to admission.
Must have a minimum of one (1) year operating theatre experience
Critical care nursing experience would be an asset.
Minimum requirement may be determined by Prior Learning Assessment
Nurse Anesthetist
Designed for senior nurses who have completed the
general nursing and midwifery education programmes
and hold current licensure as registered nurses,
registered midwives, and the accrual of professional
nursing experiences in an acute care setting for a
minimum of three years.

A general first degree or first degree with a minimum GPA of 2.7 or US
equivalent in a helping profession (such as, but not limited to: Psychology,
counselling, nursing, social work, emergency services, teachers) from an
accredited institution.
Recognised professional training in a helping or caring profession plus 3 year
of practice providing trauma related support.
Applicants without the required degree certification may matriculate via the
prior learning assessment:
- Applicants must have at least 10years of practice providing trauma related
support to be evident by a written essay (2000 word)
- To demonstrate suitability for post graduate study.
- Also provide evidence of continuing professional development to include
course, conferences and professional activities.
- A portfolio will be required upon application.
Graduates will be prepared for work in their existing
agencies, voluntary and private practice.
