International Programme for Service Learning (IPSL) Master’s student

During Semester 1 of AY 2005/06, Ms. Kate Lecher, IPSL Master’s student from the International Partnership for Service-Learning is carrying out her service learning assignment with the UTech HIV/AIDS Organising Committee, working out of the Office of Curriculum Development and Evaluation under the aegis of the HIV/AIDS Steering Committee Chairperson, the Associate Vice President for Academic Management. As her Master’s research project, Ms. Lecher has selected her target research group from UTech female students using the University Health Centre services, and is gathering data on their knowledge levels about HIV and AIDS, self-reported sexual practices and behavioural responses in the context of HIV and AIDS.

Community Service Programme (CSP) student

Mr. Donald Dennis, a Year 1 student in the School of Business Administration has elected to carry out his Community Service project with the HIV and AIDS Organising Committee during Semester 1. He is working out of the Office of Curriculum Development and Evaluation under the aegis of the Chair of the HIV and AIDS Awareness Day Sub-Committee.
