Dr. James Smith

The School of Natural and Applied Sciences offers a vibrant academic community for students, staff, and professional associates.  With its focus on innovative and high quality teaching, academic advisement, science-based research, professional and community engagement, the School is a desirable place for students and faculty.

The school is comprised of three subject divisions, namely: Biology, Chemistry and Physics.

We offer a Bachelors of Science degree in Applied Science with three specialized options: Environmental Science, Analytical and Industrial Chemistry and Forensic Chemistry.  We jointly offer a Bachelors of Science Degree in Science and Education, with specialized options in Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics.  The school also provides the service to teach all pure science modules in all faculties.

Science remains an essential aspect of all developing and developed countries, and as the local, regional and global science visions change, we anticipate the continued development of new and already existing courses within our own School, to meet these demands.  At least two new postgraduate degree courses will be coming on stream for the 2010/2011 academic year.

It is hoped that you will spend some time on our website and explore the courses which appeal most to you.

The School of Natural and Applied Sciences looks forward to having you be a part of our new vision and hope that you make this your preferred choice for your educational advancement.
