Revered as an expert in the field of conditioning of athletes Orville Byfield, a master graduate of the International School of Physical Education and Sports in Havana Cuba, has been a nationally recognized coach for over 10 years in the area of track and field in his homeland Jamaica. One of the few International Amateur Athletic Federation (IAAF) level four (4) coaches to have represented his country at both the junior and senior level, Mr Byfield has moulded several world class athletes.
Based on his expertise and record it was only fitting that he made his home at the University of Technology, Jamaica; the home of world class athletes.
Dr. Lorie Lawrence received her BSc. In Physical Therapy from The University of the West Indies in 2005, after which she completed one year internship and subsequently started her Physical Therapy career at the Kingston Public Hospital. At the same time Dr Lawrence nurtured her own private practice and furthered her education by completing her Doctor of Physical Therapy from NOVA Southeastern University in May 2010. In August Dr Lawrence joined the Faculty of Science and Sports as a lecturer in Exercise Physiology / Biomechanics & Kinesiology within the Caribbean School of Sport Sciences.
Dr Lawrence currently gives back to the community through her service organization, the Rotaract Club of Kingston; and also serves as a member of professional organizations such as The Physical Therapy Association, The American Physical Therapy Association, and The Jamaica Association of Sports Medicine.

Laurence Garriques is a lecturer in the Caribbean School of Sport Science, University of Technology, Jamaica (UTech). He holds two Masters of Science Degrees, one in Physical Education and Sport and the other in Educational Leadership. His passion is coaching and would like to see the improvement of coaches. He has worked with the Travellers Football Club and was selected as one of the best coaches from the JFF/Utech coaching courses and has worked with the Confederations\' teams.
