About the School

The School of Allied Health and Nursing is the home for many Allied Health and Nursing courses of Study including but not limited to:

• Child & Adolescent Development
• Dietetics and Nutrition
• Medical Technology
• Health Information Technology
• Nursing
• Health Science Degree
• Masters in Health Administration

The hallmark of this school is its quest to ensure that all its courses of study are accredited by UCJ and other accrediting bodies for the different professional areas.  The school also incorporates the Wellness Studies Unit which is responsible for developing and delivering short courses to the wider population. Most of these short courses serve as continuing education credits for professionals in the health care industry, as well as other customer service-oriented agencies.

The school has a satellite campus at Barnett Clinic in Montego Bay for Nursing. This is in response to national need. It partners with many agencies and Professional Associations in Jamaica and overseas including the Ministry of Health, PAHO, Ministry of Education and other Universities overseas.
