Welcome to the University of Technology, Jamaica Centre for the Arts - the home of cultural excellence in the performing and visual arts. The Centre for the Arts provides an important cultural space for our students, staff, alumni and the wider community.

The integration of the cultural arts into the University’s core curriculum is a deliberate attempt to offer another dimension to learning and to help our students to develop an appreciation for the ‘softer side’ as they engage in their academic pursuits. The seminal value of the arts in enhancing educational achievement has been well documented and the University remains committed to providing our students with the valuable opportunity to benefit from this total learning experience.

The Centre for the Arts at UTech has grown exponentially in the last decade, offering year round training in a variety of art forms including music, art, dance and drama. The Caribbean Sculpture Park, a virtual oasis, adjacent to the Centre, provides a further physical space for inspiring creativity and critical thinking for students, staff and visitors alike.

We thank our partners and sponsors who have faithfully supported the work of the Centre for the Arts over these years. We invite you to continue to support the University, as we look to the future and seek to build on our cultural programmes for the benefit of all who enter our gates.
