Bachelor of Arts in Architectural Studies (BAAS)(UBAARSTFXU1A) 

  • 5 CSEC/GCE O-Level passes including English Language, Mathematics and 3 other approved subjects PLUS portfolio and interview. 
  • Having satisfied the first criteria and based on the number of applicants, persons may be called for an interview where applicants are expected to take a portfolio with the minimum of ten (10) pieces of their best creative work. 
  • NB. All Early Bird and Overseas applicants are to submit a  Digital(PDF) Portfolio with his/her application.

School of Building and Land Management 

 Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) in Construction Engineering (UBECOENFXU1A)
  •  5 CSEC/GCE O-Level passes including English Language, Mathematics, Physics and two (2) other subjects (Technical or Science related); PLUS a total of four (4) CAPE units (including units 1 and 2 for Pure & Applied Mathematics and Physics) OR two (2) A-Level subjects in Mathematics or Physics; 
  • OR Successful completion of PCS. Graduates of the Diploma in Structural, Mechanical & Electrical Engineering 
  • OR graduates with a B.Eng. in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering 
  • OR graduates with Associate Degrees in Engineering course of studies may articulate into this degree programme.  A combination of pre-engineering courses (PEC/PET) and CSEC/GCE O-Levels and/or any other programmes/qualifications, which can be assessed for equivalencies.   
  • Interview may be required.

  Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Construction Management (UPDCOEMFXU1A) (Post Diploma) 

  • UTech, Jamaica Diploma in: Construction Management, Structural Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Architectural Technology, Land Economy and Valuation Surveying OR equivalent.  Interview may be required.

 Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Real Estate Management and Valuation (formerly Land Economy and Valuation Surveying (UBSLEVSFXU1A)

  • 5 CSEC/GCE O-Level passes including English Language, Mathematics, and three (3) other approved subjects. Preferred subjects include Geography, Economics, Accounts, Information Technology, Social Studies, Principles of Business.
  Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Land Surveying and Geographic Information Sciences (UBSSGISFXU1A)
  • 5 CSEC/GCE O-Level passes including English Language, Mathematics and three (3) other approved subjects. Preferred subjects include Physics, Geography, Information Technology, Technical Drawing, Additional Mathematics, and Elementary Surveying (offered by some schools as a CSEC Level subject).  
  • Graduates from the Associate Degree in Surveying and Geographic Information Technology with a minimum GPA 2.70, may articulate into the programme with advanced placement into second year.

 Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Quantity Surveying (UBSQUSUFXU1A)

  • 5 CSEC/GCE O-Level passes including English Language, Mathematics, and three (3) other approved subjects. Preferred subjects include: Building Technology, Electrical Installation, Chemistry, Physics, Additional Mathematics, Information Technology, Principles of Accounts, Technical Drawing and Geography.  
  • Interview may be required.

 Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Mines and Quarry Management

5 CSEC/O’Level passes including English Language and Mathematics, and three (3) other approved subjects. Preferably subjects from the following groups: Earth Sciences, Environmental Sciences, Business

Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Urban and Regional Planning (UBSURRPFXU1A)

  • 5 CSEC/GCE O-Level passes including English Language, Mathematics, Geography and two (2) other approved subjects.
  • Interview may be required.

Associate Degree in Surveying and Geographic Information Technology (UADSGITFXU1A) 

  • 4 CSEC/GCE O-Level passes including English Language, Mathematics, and two (2) other approved subjects from among the following list: Physics, Geography, Technical Drawing, Elementary Surveying, Information Technology. Physics is strongly recommended at Grade I or Grade II; Grade III in June 1998 and later is acceptable, or GCE O’Levels at minimum grade C.
  • Graduates of the Land Surveying Technician course of study will be required to complete 28 credits to obtain the Associate Degree.

  • 5 CSEC/GCE O-Level passes including English Language, Mathematics, a Technical subject and any other two (2) related subjects. 

Diploma in Structural Engineering (UDPSTENFXU1A)

  • 5 CSEC/GCE O-Level passes including English Language, Mathematics, Physics, a Technical subject and any other related subject .
