The B.Sc. (AS) Course of
Study is geared to produce graduates with the
qualitative and analytical skills necessary to assist in
planning, decision making and research within various
institutions. The curriculum provides training in
general statistical techniques, specialized statistical
methods, aspects of statistical management as well as
option specific foundation.
In addition, the
curriculum aims to produce graduates who demonstrate an
awareness of the importance of ethics and
professionalism, who are flexible, well-rounded
individuals committed to lifelong learning and service

Applicants must satisfy
the following qualifications:-
• A minimum of five (5)
CSEC General Proficiency Levels 1, 2 and 3 (after June
1998) or General Certificate in Education, Ordinary
Levels A, B and C including English Language and
Mathematics with a minimum pass of 2 at CSEC (CXC) or B
at O’level and preferably Geography for the
Environmental Statistics Option and a business oriented
subject for the Social and Economic Statistics Option
• OR English Language and
Mathematics at the CSEC or GCE `O’ Level and the
Certificate in Social and Economic Statistics. |
