Handing-Over Ceremony of Lab Equipment from Johnson and Johnson (Canada) Ltd. to the University of Technology, Jamaica.

The Handing-Over Ceremony for laboratory equipment donated by Johnson & Johnson (Canada) Ltd. and valued at U.S. Five Million Dollars was held in Rm.3B17 of the Faculty of Health & Applied Science, on Tuesday, July 8, 2008.

The ceremony was chaired by Dr. Colin Gyles, Actg. Head of the Department of Science & Mathematics, and in attendance were members of staff of the Faculty of Health & Applied Science, and the University’s administration including:- Professor the Hon. Errol Morrison (UTech President); Professor Rosalee Hamilton; and Mr. Hector Wheeler (Alumni Affairs). The Toronto Chapter of the CAST/UTech Alumni Association was represented by Messers Greg Allen and Trevor Miller.

A symbolic handing over of the equipment was done by the representatives of the Toronto Chapter, with Professor Morrison, Dr. Gyles, and Dr. Sarafadeen Adebayo accepting on behalf of the University and the Faculty.
