About Us |
The Safety and Security Department is
responsible for providing a safe and secure campus environment for
the University’s students, faculty, support staff, as well as any
bona fide visitors to or residents on the University campus. The
Department also has responsibility for Emergency Management Disaster
planning, and Occupational Health and Safety.
A safe and secure campus depends on the
cooperation and assistance of every UTech student and all staff to
be aware of possible safety hazards and of the potential for crime
on campus. Crime prevention and prompt reporting of unsafe
conditions should be the objectives of every member of the UTech
community.
UTech's policy is that students and employees must report safety
hazards, crimes, loss of property, illness, or injury. Incidents can
be reported to any member of the Safety and Security Department
using requisite forms, which are available online.
