The  President,  who  heads  the  academic,  executive  and administrative arm of the University, is responsible to the Council for the  organisation  and  operation  of  the  institution  and  has  general responsibility for maintaining and promoting its efficiency and good order.  He is assisted by the Vice-Presidents, Deans, and Directors.  Falling within the Office of the President are the following units:

• Safety and Security Department
• Office of Development
• Human Resources Department
